Monica Cruz has made a very lovely announcement on her blog - she is pregnant by artificial insemination after deciding to start a family on her own.

The 35 year old wrote in Spanish: "VOY A SER MAMA!!!He logrado cumplir el sueo de mi vida. Por eso quiero compartir con todas vosotras este viaje tan especial y poder contar todas mis vivencias en este periodo tan fascinante"

The model and actress said that she decided not to wait for her dream man, because her biological clock was ticking and she didn't want to miss out on her chance to have a child.
