Angelina, Cruise and Cruz among Oscar presenters

The 84th Academy Awards rolls out an impressive list of presenters for the upcoming ceremony, February 26, with the latest addition, Emma Stone (The Help, The Amazing Spider-Man) joining Hollywood's A-listers Tom Cruise, Angelina Jolie and Penelope Cruz.

Other actors previously announced for the big event include Cameron Diaz (Knight & Day), Jennifer Lopez (Maid in Manhattan), Oscar winners Tom Hanks and Halle Berry, and first-time nominees Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy with the cast of Bridesmaids.

The Oscars will update the presenters list over the days leading up the telecast, which will be hosted by actor/comedian Billy Crystal, who has previously emceed the show eight times in 2004, 2000, 1997-98 and 1990-93.

Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2011 will be presented on Sunday, February 26, at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center and televised live by the ABC Television Network. The Oscar presentation also will be televised live internationally.

The nine nominees for Best Picture are The Artist, The Descendants, Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close, The Help, Midnight in Paris, Moneyball, The Tree of Life, War Horse, and Hugo.

Best Actor nominees are George Clooney (The Descendants), Jean Dujardin (The Artist), Demin Bichir (A Better Life), Gary Oldman (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy) and Brad Pitt (Moneyball).

Best Actress nominees are Glenn Close (Albert Nobbs), Viola Davis (The Help), Rooney Mara (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo), Meryl Streep (The Iron Lady) and Michelle Williams (My Week With Marilyn).

Nominees for Best Director are Michel Hazanavicius (The Artist), Alexander Payne (The Descendan! ts) , Martin Scorsese (Hugo), Woody Allen (Midnight in Paris) and Terrence Malick (The Tree of Life).

The producers of the 2012 Oscars, Brian Grazer (The Da Vinci Code, A Beautiful Mind) and Don Mischer (Oscars, Emmys, Super Bowl), have not scheduled musical performances of the two songs nominated for Best Original Song from The Muppets and Rio, according to Deadline Hollywood.

The Academy Awards at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood will be televised live February 26 at 7 pm ET on ABC-TV and across more than 225 countries worldwide.
