SNL's First Out Lesbian Featured Player Kate McKinnon Makes Splash with Penelope Cruz Pantene Sketch
The Big Gay Sketch ShowsKate McKinnon made Saturday Night Livehistory as the long-running sketch shows first out lesbian featured player when she debuted this Saturday in the Sofia Vergara-hosted show.
For her first time out of the SNL gate McKinnon nabbed important air time briefly impersonating another out lesbian, Tabatha Coffey, in a Bravo spoof. But McKinnon really showed off her knack for impersonations and general hilarity in a nearly five-minute sketch in which she donned Penelope Cruz's lush mane opposite Vergara in a Pantene commercial. McKinnons been skewering Cruzs accent something the actress herself has done in Vicky Cristina Barcelonain her acts for quite a while, and she certainly showcased her talent in the sketch with Vergara, which you can watch here at Hulu.
