Penelope Cruz shows off comedic side in new Nintendo ad

The Vicky Cristina Barcelona star signed up to promote the company's new Super Mario Bros. game for their DS3 console and she has filmed a promo for the campaign.

In the clip, Cruz is seen putting her gaming skills to the test and exclaims, "Come on, Mario, let's go - good boy!" as she taps away at the screen while lying on a lounge chair.

Monica then walks over to her sibling and declares, "Let's play together", before Penelope replies, "Do you want me to remind you who is the big sister? The last one loses the bet."

The pair then battle it out, with Monica crowned the winner. Penelope is later seen in a street wearing a Mario outfit and asking a shopkeeper, "Can I have a mushroom please?" - while her sister looks on and giggles.
