Penelope Cruz has hinted that she might be set to make a Bollywood film in the future.
The To Rome With Love actress - who is married to fellow Spanish star Javier Bardem - told The Times Of India that she admires Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, and went on to add that she is planning to make a film in India.
She said: "I am a great fan of Indian cinema and I would love to work with Shah Rukh Khan. I have the movie rights to a book and we are going to shoot the movie in India."
It's thought Penelope owns the rights to a book about a Spanish flamenco dancer who married Maharaja Jagatjit Singh of Punjab and became a princess at 18.
According to the website Bollywoodlife.com, there are rumours that Shah Rukh may play the Maharaja, sparking speculation that Penelope could play the dancer.
The actress, who welcomed son Leonardo in January 2011, also opened up about whether her stunning looks made it hard for her to be seen as a serious actress.
"Your looks is like an ice breaker in the industry but to survive in the industry one has to draw the attention to your talent and acting skills," she said. "You can't escape critics who are like watchdogs in the industry."
