The siblings put their heads together and don't let anything get in their way to solve one of the game's many brain-bending puzzles.
Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask will focus on a wish-granting mask which has immense power and is wielded by a new villain calling himself the 'Masked Gentleman'.
It will be the first game in the series to release for the Nintendo 3DS, featuring 3D characters and environments in addition to the signature 2D art of past titles.
Developer Level 5 will also host a brand new puzzle every day for 350 days after its launch.
A second 3DS Professor Layton game was announced recently. Revolving around a case involving a living mummy, it will be the last game to feature the titular character.
Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask will be available from Friday, October 26 in Europe, and two days later on Sunday, October 28 in North America.
